Rung provides AI-powered SMS communication on behalf of local home service businesses such as pressure washing, exterior cleaning, and related trades. When you text a business’s phone number, you are communicating through our platform. The business you contacted is the primary recipient of your inquiry.

Information We Collect

When you text a business through our platform, we collect and store the following:

Your mobile phone number, provided automatically when you send an SMS message. Your name, property address, and email, if you share them during the conversation. The content and timestamps of your text messages. Details about the services you inquire about, including service type, quoted pricing, and scheduling preferences. Your preferred language, detected from your messages.

We do not collect information beyond what you provide in the SMS conversation. We do not purchase data about you from third parties. We do not use cookies or web tracking in the SMS channel.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

To respond to your service inquiries and provide quotes. To schedule and confirm appointments on behalf of the business you contacted. To send transactional follow-ups such as appointment reminders, booking confirmations, and service updates. To notify the service provider about your inquiry so they can serve you. To improve the quality and accuracy of our automated responses.

Mobile Information Sharing Policy

Your mobile phone number, SMS content, and opt-in data are not sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This restriction applies without exception.

Information Shared With the Service Provider

When you text a business through our platform, the following information is shared with that specific business and its owner: your phone number, your name and address (if provided), the services you requested, any pricing discussed, and your appointment details. This sharing is necessary to fulfill your service request. Your information is only shared with the specific business you contacted, not with other businesses on the platform.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

Twilio, for SMS message delivery and phone number provisioning. Anthropic, for AI-powered message processing and response generation. Supabase, for secure data storage. Stripe, for payment processing (provider billing only; your payment information is not collected through SMS).

These providers process data solely to deliver their respective services and are bound by their own privacy policies. They do not use your data for independent marketing purposes.

AI-Powered Responses

Many of the responses you receive are generated by artificial intelligence. Your message content is processed by an AI system to understand your request, provide accurate service information, and generate a helpful response. The AI does not retain memory of your conversation beyond what is stored in our database as described above.

Data Retention

We retain your conversation history and contact information to provide continuity across interactions, support appointment scheduling, and enable the service provider to reference prior conversations. If you would like your data deleted, you may request deletion by contacting us at the email address below. We will remove your personal information within 30 days of a verified request, except where retention is required by law.

Opting Out

You may stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from the platform. Once you opt out, no further messages will be sent to your number from that business unless you initiate a new conversation. Opting out does not delete your existing data. To request data deletion, contact us separately.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls on our database, and authentication requirements for service providers accessing your information through our dashboard.

Children’s Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
